SCA Conference 2009

Romans and the Romanesque in Lincoln and Lincolnshire

Stow-in-Lindsey, Lincolnshire     Middle Rasen, Lincolnshire

This year's conference will be held on September 25th-27th, 2009, at the Edward King House conference centre in the precinct of the medieval Bishop's palace at Lincoln. The conference will offer a fascinating insight into the development of the church in Lincoln, looking at evidence for Roman Christianity in the city, and then its flourishing between the 7th and 13th centuries. The conference is privileged to welcome a number of established scholars who will be reviewing recent work and offers a series of guided tours to further illustrate the themes. There will also be visits on Saturday and Sunday to some of the most significant churches in Lincoln and Lincolnshire, including a special tour of the west front of Lincoln Cathedral.

Conference details are now finalized. Please download, print, and return the booking form below. Be aware that places will be limited, so book early! The deadline for booking places is July 1st, 2009.
