The 2017 Conference will be held in Worcester on 15-17 September, 2017, on the theme of 'The Articulation of Light and Space in Churches'. The conference will be held at Worcester Cathedral, and will focus on the relationship between light, space, liturgy and devotion in churches, from the early-medieval period until the Victorian era. The conference will bring together an assorted range of lectures, revealing exciting new methods, theories and interpretations about ecclesiastical light and space. Special tours of the cathedral's workshops and Upper Reaches, as well as to significant local churches and monastic sites, will also be a key component for the programme.

On Friday September 15th, conference delegates who have already arrived will be offered a guided tour of the Upper Reaches of Worcester Cathedral (numbers are limited: first-come/first-serve), followed by an informal dinner in town.**The Upper Reaches tour is now fully booked!**

On Saturday September 16th, the conference will begin with a full programme of lectures on a range of topics relevant to the relationships between churches and industry from the Anglo-Saxon era to the early-modern period. In the afternoon, delegates will be given a tour of the cathedral workshops and Upper Reaches for those not able to attend Friday, followed by the conference dinner.

On Sunday September 17th, we will undertake a coach tour to a number of exciting church sites in the Diocese of Worcester, including the unparalleled collection of stained glass at Great Malvern Priory.
