Josh Schwieso

Membership Secretary

After reading archaeology at University College Cardiff in the late 1960s and working on a range of digs of all periods including Silbury Hill and South Cadbury Castle, I spent most of my working life as a psychology lecturer in Reading and Bristol, retiring in 2011.

However, I continued to indulge my interest in churches, and my Doctorate was in the Sociology of Religion. As well as being a long-standing member of the SCA, I am a member of the Ecclesiological Society, and of the British Archaeological Association. My current research interests focus upon rood lofts and rood stairs.
